Training goals：the major will train the advanced professional talents who have a good command of English language basis and master comparatively extensive scientific and cultural knowledge; who are able to be engaged in translation，research，teaching and management in the following departments：foreign affairs，business and trade，news publication，scientific research，traveling，etc.

Main courses：comprehensive English， extensive reading， listening ， reading and writing， grammar and writing，traveling English，foreign trade letters，practical translation, spoken English，oral interpretation，restaurant English，international commercial law，selective readings in western economics，Internet knowledge，international marketing，international economic corporation English，selective readings in world trade knowledge，the theory and practice of international trade, English lexicology, the Bible literature，selective readings in economic trade，practical writing of English，language and culture，Chinese culture and translation.

The awarded degree：bachelor of arts.

 

2. Chinese

Training goals: the major will train the comprehensive advanced professional talents who have certain literature and art theory accomplishment and systematic Chinese knowledge; who are able to be engaged in comments on literature，Chinese teaching and research, secretary and the jobs about culture and propaganda in literature and art publication departments, universities, scientific research organizations，enterprise institution.

Principal courses: an introduction to Chinese, ancient Chinese, modern Chinese, literature survey, Chinese ancient literature, modern and contemporary literature, basic writing, applied writing, foreign literature, secretary, public relation, secretarial document management, mass media survey, advertisement,enterprise management, administration.

The awarded degree: bachelor of arts.

 

3.Marketing

Training goals of：This Major trains specialized talents who can conduct the works of practical business, operation and management, policy’s investigation and research, propaganda and machination in different enterprise, business administrationinstitution, foreign trade and economic department.

Main courses: market economics, Marxist Political economy, present economic and political, economical mathematics, accountancy theory, economic law, marketing theory, industry and commerce administration, international marketing, microeconomics, macroeconomics, business administration, enterprise accounting, international trade theory and practice, international finance, market investigation and research, financial management, economics of commerce, human resources management, environment management.

The awarded degree: bachelor of management

4. Applied Chemistry

Training goals: the major will train the advanced professional talents who have chemical basic theory, basic knowledge and comparatively good experimental skills; who are able to be engaged in scientific research, teaching and management in scientific research departments, universities, enterprise and institution.

Main courses: college chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical industry principle, catalytic chemistry, polymer material chemistry, an introduction to precise chemical industry, chemical industry apparatus and automation, chemical industry technology.

The awarded degree: bachelor of sciences.

5. Environmental science

Training goals：This major trains specialized talents who possess basic theories, knowledge and skills of environmental science. This majoralso trains specialized talents who can conduct the works of scientific research, teaching, environmental management in scientific research institution, university, enterprises and institutions, environment protection department, government department, economic management, programming department.

Main courses: environmental bionomics, environmental geosciences, environmental chemistry, environmental biology, environmental monitoring, water pollution control engineering, atmospheric pollution control engineering, disposal and treatment of solid wastes, environment management, environmental law, social science foundation.

The awarded degree: science bachelor .

6. Biological engineering

Training goals：This major trains talents who master biotechnology and the scientific principle of its industrialization, the basic theory and skill of technological process and engineering design. This major also trains specialized engineering talents who can engage in designing, producing, management, new technique’s study and new product’s exploitation in the area of biotechnology and bioengineering. The subject relies on the key subject of 211 projects in Fujian province. We have established the first -class lab and bioengineering semiworks plant which is scarce in the same major in our country and we have equipped advanced laboratory apparatus and semiworks equipment.

Main courses: microbiology, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, fermentation equipment, industrial drawing, bioreactor and microcomputer control, principle of environmental science, chemical industry theory, enzyme engineering, cell engineering, gene engineering, GMP management, etc.

The awarded degree: bachelor of engineering .

7. Business administration

Training goals：This major trains specialized talents who possess the ability that is essential to college students and adapt them to all kinds of business, commercial enterprise, trade enterprise’s operation and management, and management work of business administrative department at all levels.

Main courses: The curriculum is divided into three parts: specialized basic courses, specialized compulsory courses, and specialized optional courses which include designated optional courses and optional courses. Specialized basic courses include management science, market economics, international marketing, economical mathematics, economic law, enterprise machinate (layout), accountancy, international finance, human resources management, international trade, EC (electronic commerce), management information system, industry and commerce administration, etc.

The awarded degree: bachelor of management .

 

8. Information management and information system

Training goals：This major trains specialized talents who master the basic knowledge of present management, the knowledge of science and technology of computer and its application. This major also trains specialized talents who master the knowledge and ability of the systematic idea, methods of information systems’ analysis and design, and information management. This major also trains specialized applied talents who can conductthe works of information management, information systems’ analysis, design, administration and evaluation in different management department, business enterprise, finance organization and scientific research department.

Main courses: calculus, linear algebra, applied mathematical statistics, operational research, microeconomics, macroeconomics, accountancy, marketing, production and operation management, management science, computer applications foundation, data technology and application, C language, data structure, database organization, information retrieval, information analysis, information resources construction, library science foundation, information services and userinfo, information economics, measure-bibliography, intellectual property law, mass-communication.

9. Computer Science and Technology

Training goals: the major will train the computer advanced professional talents who have excellent scientific accomplishment, have a systematic and good command of computer science and technology, including computer hardware，computer software, the applied basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills and methods; who are able to be engaged in computer teaching, scientific research and application in scientific research departments, education organizations, enterprise, institution, technology, administration departments.

Main courses: higher mathematics，dispersive mathematics，probability statistics，simulated electronic technology, logical design of digital circuit, micro-computer principle and application,micro-computer composition principle and design, single-chip computer principle and application, principle of operation system, compiling principle，advanced language programming, assembler language programming, computer algorithm programming and analysis, database principle and application, computer network and communication, network management, software programming and analysis, software project，JAVA programming.

The awarded degree: bachelor of engineering.

10.International Economy and Business

Training goals：the major will train the students who can use English proficiently andconduct international trade business ，master the basic theory of international economy and trade，understand the contemporary developing condition of international economy and trade; who are familiar with current international trade rules and practice ; who master English proficiently and have the ability of listening，speaking，reading，writing and translation; who have the practical applied ability of second foreign language; who master Marxist economy，international economy and the basic theory and knowledge of international trade; who understand the economic policies and statutes of China， the economic development and trade policies of main countries and regions in the world ; who are able to use calculation，statistics and accounting to analyze and research，master the basic ways of referring to documents and inquiring about materials; who have the ability of analyzing basic theory and f fairly good practical operation; who are able to use computer and Internet to be engaged in the practical jobs of international economy and trade.
